We’ll explore varietal selection, storage, germination, and seed saving, along with a practical discussion on the role and legitimacy of community seed libraries in strengthening regional seed security.

June 27, 2026

This event features fruit tasting and buying of fresh produce from local small farms. Many participating farmers specialize in growing delicious varieties of nectarines, peaches, plums, pluots, apriums, and apricots. Kid-friendly activities as well as food and beverage booths make this an educational and fun event.

The Hoes Down Harvest Festival is dedicated to honoring and promoting the knowledge of agricultural arts and sustainable rural living through inspiration and education. Our goals extend beyond the weekend of fun and education.
